旧约 - 传道书(Ecclesiastes)第9章

For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.
All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.
Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
传道书第九章   第 9 章 

  传 9:2> 9:2 “凡临到众人的事都是一样”指人人都有一死。 

  传 9:5,10> “死人毫无所知”有点像无神论的观点,这…… 

  9:5,10 当所罗门说死人毫无所知,在阴间里没有工作、谋算、也没有知识和智慧时,他是将生命和死亡作对比,而不是以今生和来世作对比。我们离开世界后,便无法改变生前所做的一切。旧约时代的信徒对死后复活得新生命的概念是十分模糊的。这概念只有在耶稣从死里复活后才清晰了。 

  传 9:7-10> 这不是在劝人及时行乐吧?…… 

  9:7-10 所罗门想到人人都有一死,将来又不确定,就劝我们当享受神所赐的生命。他可能是在批评那些为了积聚钱财,而不肯享受今生快乐的人,正如陷于激烈竞争中的现代人。所罗门问:“你们的财富究竟有什么价值呢?”因为将来极不稳定,所以现在我们应当享受神的一切赏赐。 

  传 9:8> 梳洗穿戴整齐,人自然精神爽── 

  9:8 穿洁白衣服,在头上涂抹膏油,皆表示快乐和庆贺之意。 

  传 9:9> 老夫老妻的,看着不烦就算不错了,谈快活度日嘛…… 

  9:9 所罗门也写过关于婚姻的箴言:“得着贤妻的,是得着好处,也是蒙了耶和华的恩惠”(箴 18:22 )。如果结了婚而不知欣赏、享受神所赐的伴侣,是多么的可悲。 

  传 9:10-11> 生不逢时,运气不佳,一切努力是否全无用? 

  9:10-11 我们很难想像快跑的未必能赢,强壮的未必能胜,智慧的未必得饱足,明哲的未必得资财和尊荣作为奖赏。有些人看到这些例子,因而说人生不公平;他们所说的不错。这个世界是有限的,罪恶将人生扭曲了,使人不按神的旨意而行。所罗门叫我们不要对人生期望过高。箴言强调在每个人皆按公平而行的时候,人生应是怎样的;传道书阐释在罪恶而不完美的世界里,通常会发生的事。我们应持守自己的观点,不要让人生不公平的事,阻止我们认真地工作。我们事奉的是神,而不是人(参西 3:23 )。 

  传 9:13-18> 有智慧的穷人比不上愚昧的富翁,世俗的看法对我有没有影响? 

  9:13-18 我们的社会崇尚个人的财富、魅力和成就过于智慧。事实上智慧是胜过勇力的更大资产,不过绝大部分的人都不认识这一点。虽然智慧胜于一切,但人往往不肯寻求智慧。从这个比喻中我们学到应该领受智慧,不管这些智慧是谁传给我们的。──《灵修版圣经注释》
